The following is an excerpt from the Woburn Police Department log. Please note that this is a sampling of activity in the log, not a complete account. We report all arrests included in the daily police log.

June 13 – At 8:55 a.m., Sergio L. Balbino, 34, of 17 Sturgis St. Apt. #1, was arrested and charged with breaking and entering (misdemeanor charge) and an outstanding warrant. According to police, a woman in an adjoining apartment opened a closet door and found Balbino curled up in the closet. The woman immediately ran into another room, locked the door and called police. Officers arrived and spoke to Balbino, who had left the closet and gone into his own apartment. Balbino reportedly told police, “It was me. It was the stupidest thing I ever did.” Police reported that Balbino said he wanted to see the layout of the second apartment and went inside. When he realized someone was home, he told police he ducked into the closet. When his leg cramped, he “knocked” on the door and the woman found him, reported officers. Balbino was cooperative while taken into custody.

June 12 –

At 3:29 p.m., Kunjina Natphisut, 34, unknown address, was arrested and charged with sexual conduct for a fee. According to police, Natphisut was taken into custody during an investigation into solicitation of sex at the Extended Stay Hotel on Main Street.

June 13 –

At 9:24 a.m., a Woburn woman reported several problems with her car over the last week, including a tire coming off while she was driving, a dead battery and a substance put in her gas tank. The woman told police she wanted to report the suspicious problems.

At 12:14 p.m., police responded to a two-car accident at the Routes 38/128 rotary.

At 12:38 p.m., a Natick man reported using his credit card at Target on Commerce Way last month. Three minutes after the card was used, the information was reportedly used to transfer funds from the account through Western Union. The man’s bank is investigating the fraud, but advised him to also report the incident to police.

At 1:09 p.m., a caller reported seeing a toddler asleep in a car on Hudson Street for over a half hour. Police responded to the home and spoke to the mother, who went to the car to check on the toddler. The woman reportedly told police, “See what you did? You made me wake her up.” The woman asked police what law she was breaking and told police to stop bothering her. The woman asked for the police officer’s name and cruiser registration. Police filed a report with the Department of Children and Families outlining the incident.

At 1:43 p.m., police responded to a report of a bone found at the Holiday Inn Select construction site on the Middlesex Canal Parkway. According to police, the bone fragment was about 18 inches below the surface and was found outside a room window on the east side of the building. Detectives also responded to the scene.

At 5:34 p.m., an officer was dispatched to a two-car accident at Central and Hawthorne streets.

At 5:39 p.m., police responded to a two-car accident on Mishawum Road. According to police, one car made a turn from Olympia Avenue and a driver applied his brakes in an attempt to avoid hitting the vehicle. Due to the wet road, the car skidded, causing a collision. There were no reported injuries.

At 8:04 p.m., police and fire conducted a well-being check of an elderly resident. Police found the home in darkness and the doors locked. Police determined it would be best to force entry into the home to look for the resident. Police found the woman calling for help from the floor in her bedroom. Fire transported the woman to Lahey Clinic for treatment. Police secured the home by locking all doors and left lights on for the resident when she returned.

At 9:13 p.m., a Woburn woman reported being threatened by a neighbor. The neighbor denied threatening the woman, but did tell police she yelled at her, reported the responding officer.
