The following is an excerpt from the Woburn Police Department log. Please note that this is a sampling of activity in the log, not a complete account. We report all arrests included in the daily police log.

May 29 –

At 12:47 p.m., a Woburn resident reported getting threatening texts over the past three to four weeks from a family member over a family matter. She is scared for her safety, according to the report.

At 12:55 p.m., the owner of a business on New Boston Street reported a suspicious minivan in the parking lot there, leading to the discovery of an ATM in the vehicle.  The business owner noticed a suspicious vehicle – a blue Dodge minivan – parked next to his work van when he arrived at work. After he made some deliveries, he and a neighboring business owner found the minivan’s ignition popped and called police.

Police found that the van had been stolen from another New Boston Street business.  A detective confirmed that the business was missing a vehicle; they hadn’t reported it stolen yet. In checking the vehicle, police found “what appeared to be an ATM laying on the floor of the rear portion of the minivan,” where rear seats had been removed.  It appeared that the vehicle could be involved in an ATM theft that occurred on May 28, the report states.
