After identifying photos recently published in the Woburn Daily Times, we will move on to other subjects including assembling the new organ at St. Charles in 1961,
going to the Woburn Days Ball Game in 1955, General Douglas MacArthur parading through Boston in 1951, the opening ceremonies of the Stoneham Redstone Plaza
in 1961, Esther Williams, wrestling at the American Legion Hall in 1955, and a wide variety of local unidentified photographs from the 1950’s and 1960’s.

The audience will be encouraged to identify what they recognize.

The event is free to the public and refreshments will be provided.

Doors will open at 1:45 p.m. and the program will run from 2pm to 4pm.

The Woburn Public Library has served the people of Woburn since 1856. The current building was designed by library architect H.H. Richardson and was built in 1879. 

The 60,000-item collection found at the Woburn Public Library includes books, videos and DVDs, audiobooks, large print books, magazines and newspapers. It is part of the Minuteman Library Network, which gives patrons access to the collections of nearly 40 other libraries and several online databases. Passes to several Boston museums are also available to library card holders.

The library sponsors several programs for children, teens and adults.
