Santa's Polar Express
Dunkin' Donuts, 100 Atlantic Ave, Woburn, MA | Get Directions »
$15.00
Tickets are now on sale for Hallmark Health VNA and Hospice's Santa's Polar Express, taking place on Saturday, December 8, 2012 out of the Anderson Train Station in Woburn. This family-fun event supports the agency's Maternal-Child Health Program and the North Suburban Child and Family Resource Network.
Guests on board the train enjoy cocoa and cookies while listening to the classic award-winning storybook tale, “The Polar Express.” Santa, Mrs. Claus, and "friends" board the train and greet the children. Children are given their own Polar Express bell. There is caroling and entertainment, making this a memorable holiday event for the whole family.
Each ride takes about an hour. The train leaves Anderson Station and travels without stopping to the North Polae (North Station), and back to Anderson. Children are encouraged to dress in their pajamas and bring their list for Santa.
Rides take place at noon, 2p.m., 4p.m., 6p.m. Cost is $20 for adults, $15 for children under 12. Children under age one ride free, but must sit on an adult lap. To purchase tickets, please go to the Hallmark Health VNA and Hospice website (www.hallmarkhealthhomecare.org) and click the train icon or call (781) 338-7902.

$15dollars for children??? $20. Dollars for adults for a train ride on just a regular commuter railtrain from Anderson station to North Station??? And all thekids get is cookies and cocoa and a story??? Seems rather expensive, plus having to sit on a train for an HOUR with a bunch of restless loud kids??? I think the tickets should be half the price that is being charged! Imagine trying to keep a bunch of kids quiet and under controlon a train for an hour?? That's just asking for amajor headache!! No scenery to see during the ride, unless you count the expressway and the train yard. Definitely NOT worth that kind of money! Sorry, just my opinion. MERRY CHRISTMAS!
