At 1pm Woburn Public
Library will open its doors for those wishing to see military related
photographs by local military photographer MSgt. Patrick
J. Farino. Starting at 1pm, a video
display will run. At approximately 2pm or when the luncheon activities are complete and the audience can be seated, an interactive slide show will begin. Library Volunteer Linda Olsson will show approximately
100 images including: National Guard Company G in the South Pacific,
local military recruitment activities, training at Fort Devens, and Camp Drum,
Woburn Memorial ceremonies and parades, military support organizations of the
1950’s, and company reunions. The audience will be encouraged to help
identify people in the images. The program is free and open to the
public.

More About Woburn Public Library
The Woburn Public Library has served the people of Woburn since 1856. The current building was designed by library architect H.H. Richardson and was built in 1879.
The 60,000-item collection found at the Woburn Public Library includes books, videos and DVDs, audiobooks, large print books, magazines and newspapers. It is part of the Minuteman Library Network, which gives patrons access to the collections of nearly 40 other libraries and several online databases. Passes to several Boston museums are also available to library card holders.
The library sponsors several programs for children, teens and adults.
