Board of Health Holds Thursday Meeting

1. Happening Thursday: A trio of Woburn boards meet on Thursday. The Board of Health meets at 4:30 p.m. inside City Hall, the Conservation Commission meets at the same location at 7 p.m. and the Woburn Housing Authority holds a 6:30 p.m. session in the Housing Authority Community Room.

2. Tanners in Action: Several Woburn High School teams play on Thursday. The boys golf team hits the links at 9 a.m., the boys soccer team travels to Arlington at 3:45 p.m. and the girls soccer team hits the pitch at home at 3:45 p.m.

3. Senior Activities: A pair of helpful courses will take place at the Senior Center on Thursday. At 10 a.m. a Chronic Pain Self-Management Group meets before the Diabetes Self-Management Group holds a gathering at 12:30 p.m.

4. Sunshine Aplenty: Thursday will be a sunny day, according to the National Weather Service forecast for the day. Temperatures are expected to reach 68 degrees as the weekend approaches.

5. Board of the Day: Did you know there's a comedy event coming up? Kenny Rogerson and Mark Scalia perform on Friday night with tickets costing $15 or $30 for the buffet and show.
