City Council Meeting and Teachers Organizing Supply Drive

Here are five things to start your Tuesday off right in Woburn.

1. Happening Tuesday: The Woburn Teachers' Association seeks school supplies for Woburn children and families being serviced and supported by the Department of Children and Family Services. Residents can drop off items such as backpacks, crayons, folders, markers, scissors, composition notebooks, rulers, and glue at Hurld Elementary School from 7:30 a.m.-3 p.m. on Tuesday.

2. Also Happening Tuesday: Woburn's City Council holds its regular meeting at 7 p.m. in City Hall. Among the agenda items is the veto message by Mayor Scott Galvin regarding the Benefits package of Officer Robert DeNapoli.

3. Wet Tuesday: According to the National Weather Service, there is a 60 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms on Tuesday, mainly between 2-3 p.m. Temperatures will likely reach about 80 degrees on the day.

4. Woburn Goes Gold: So you can start planning your week, a heads up that Woburn Common will be lit up gold during an event on Thursday at 7 p.m. in honor of Childhood Cancer Awareness month. Head over to the event page for more information.
