City Hall Hosts Trio of Thursday Meetings

Here are five things to start your Thursday in Woburn.

1. Happening Thursday: A trio of meetings are scheduled for Thursday in Woburn. The Woburn Handicapped and Disabled Citizens Commission meets at 6:30 p.m. in City Hall, the Woburn Sign Review Board holds a session in the same location at 8 a.m. and the Woburn Traffic Commission takes on a variety of items at 4 p.m. in City Hall.

2. Tanners in Action: Multiple Woburn High School teams play on Thursday. The boys golf team plays in Wilmington at 3:30 p.m., the girls soccer team travels to Winchester at 3:45 p.m. and the boys soccer team hosts Winchester at 5 p.m.

3. Sunshine Aplenty: Thursday will bring plenty of sunshine, according to the National Weather Service. Temperatures will hit 78 degrees on the day and no rain is expected.

4. Lost Cat: Felix the Cat is missing in North Woburn. Have you seen him? The microchipped cat may be without a collar. Find out here how you can help reunite him with his owner.

5. ICYMI: Be sure to check out an event this weekend if you're getting rid of old appliances. You can bring your items to Spence Farm on Saturday from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. and proceeds will benefit Woburn Residents Environmental Network. There will be another event on October 19 that will benefit Boy Scout Troop 502.
