Conservation Commission to Discuss Gas and Oil Separator

Here are five things to start your Thursday in Woburn.

1. Happening Thursday: Three meetings with Woburn connections are scheduled for Thursday. In Wakefield, the Northeast Vocational School District School Committee meets at 7 p.m. and holds its School Security/Safety Subcommittee at 6 p.m. as well. In Woburn, the Conservation Commission will discuss a variety of items in the middle level of City Hall at 7 p.m.

2. Tanners in Action: Three Woburn High School teams will get to work on Thursday. The boys golf team travels to face Belmont at 3:30 p.m., the girls soccer team hosts Melrose at 5 p.m. and the boys soccer team hits the pitch at 6:15 p.m. in Melrose.

3. Car Care Fair: According to a Patch user posting, Rogers Automotive is holding an event on Thursday. The Car Care Fair is slated to begin at 10 a.m. and residents can test their battery and charging system at no cost. Participants will receive a Dunkin Donuts gift card and are entered to win a $100 gas card.

4. Flaherty Responds: Mayoral candidate John Flaherty responded to Sunday's Boston Globe article in a blog post on Woburn Patch. 

5. Allergy Free Schools: On Thursday, Woburn Parents for Allergy Safe Schools will host an open meeting at 5:30 p.m. inside the City Hall conference room. Parents can share their thoughts and concerns, and light refreshments will be served.
