Dog Located and Several Woburn Boards Meet

Here are five things to start your Thursday in Woburn.

1. Found Dog: In case you haven't seen the post by reader Nicole, a dog was found on Main Street in Winchester recently. If you think your dog may have crossed the city line, he is currently at the Winchester pound.

2. Tanners in Action: Just two varsity teams play on Thursday. The field hockey team travels to Burlington High School for a 3:30 p.m. tilt while the golf team hits the links at 3:45 p.m. in Reading at Meadow Brook Golf Club.

3. Board of the Day: Woburn Patch reader Gary Leavitt weighed in on the upcoming primary election with his thoughts on the mayoral race. You can read his opinion here.

4. More Heat: There is a 30 percent chance of thunderstorms on Thursday, and temperatures will spike to 88 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. Skies will be partly sunny throughout the day.

5. Meetings: The Board of Registrars of Voters meets at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday in City Hall's Committee Room, the Northeast Metropolitan Regional Vocational School Committee meeting is at 7 p.m. at the school, Woburn's Conservation Commission meets at 7 p.m. in the middle level of City Hall, and the Woburn License Commission meets at 5:30 p.m. in the Committee Room of City Hall.
