Football Team Scheduled to Play Masconomet in Scrimmage

Here are five things to start your Friday in Woburn.

1. Happening Friday: Are you ready for some football? The Woburn High School football team is scheduled to play a scrimmage on Friday against Masconomet. According to USA Today High School Sports, the game is scheduled to kick off at 10 a.m.

2. Ready to Debate: According to a posting on Patch, the Woburn Democratic City Committee will host candidates in a debate at Woburn Memorial High School's auditorium on Monday, Sept. 9, at 6:30 p.m. "This is a fantastic opportunity to bring the candidates before the public to hear the issues and hear from the candidates themselves about their vision for Woburn’s future. We hope all will attend," the post says.

3. Sunny Friday: The week will come to a close with some sunny conditions. According to the National Weather Service, temperatures will reach about 82 degrees on the day. There is a 20 percent chance of rain, though skies will be mostly sunny throughout.
