Lisa Love Experience to Play at Woburn Bar

1. Happening Friday: The Lisa Love Experience will perform Friday at Scoreboard Bar & Grill in Woburn. The band, which is well-known for its performances around New England, will hit the stage at 9 p.m.

2. More Fall Weather: After a near pristine day on Thursday, there will be more of the same on Friday. Skies will be sunny to start the weekend and temperatures will settle in around 68 degrees, according to the National Weather Service.

3. Busy Sports Weekend: Though there are no games on Friday, Woburn High School teams will be busy this weekend as the regular season gets underway. Boys soccer plays Wakefield at 10 a.m. on Saturday, the girls soccer team plays the same foe at 10 a.m., and the field hockey team also takes on Wakefield with a 2 p.m. game time.

4. Board of the Day: The Woburn Republican City Committee announced Thursday on Patch that it will be hosting its annual BBQ on Sunday, September 29 at the American Legion Hall on Lexington Street.
