Sports, a Debate and Three Meetings Happening Monday

Here are five things to start your day in Woburn.

1. Happening Monday: The Woburn Cemetery Commission holds a meeting at 8:30 a.m. on Monday morning inside the Woodbrook Cemetery Office, while the Woburn Council on Aging meets at 10 a.m. at the Veteran's Memorial Senior Center. Also on the day, the Woburn Council on Aging Transportation Committee meets at 11:30 a.m. in the Senior Center.

2. Tanners in Action: One Woburn High School varsity team plays on Monday. The girls volleyball team continues its second season with a 4 p.m. match against Wakefield. The JV team plays at 5:30 p.m. on the road as well.

3. Perfect Start: The week's weather gets off to a great start, according to the National Weather Service. Temperatures will settle in at 72 degrees to go with sunny skies. Be ready though. Things will really start to heat up as the week goes along.

4. Mayoral Debate: All three mayoral candidates are scheduled to be in the house at Woburn High School on Monday at 7 p.m. for a debate that also includes several alderman candidates. Residents are encouraged to arrive at 6:30 p.m. to submit questions.
