Summer Reading Party at the Woburn Library

Five things to know today.

Today is Wednesday, August 14. Here are five things to know: 

1) Nice day 

Looks like a bright and comfortable day today. According to the National Weather Service we can expect mostly sunny skies with a high near 76 degrees. Mostly clear tonight with a low around 52. 


2) Reading party 

The Woburn Public Library is holding an "End of Summer Reading Party" today starting at 9:30 a.m. There will be certificates, prizes, food and fun for participants in the summer reading program. The event will be located in the Study Hall. 


3) Vaccinations 

Woburn Public Schools have requirements for student vaccinations/immunizations before the start of the school year.Read about the requirements and about vaccinations in general.


4) Antique evaluation

James D. Julia Auctioneers is hosting an event featuring free antique appraisals from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. today. 5) Register for skating lessons 

Registration for Fall Pre-School Skating Camp has begun. Ice skating lessons for children 2 1/2-5 years old available on Wednesday and Thursday mornings 9:30-10:20 a.m. this fall. Starts September 25. Click here for more info
