Tanners in Action and Seniors at the Movies

1. Tanners Busy Friday: There is a long list of games slated for Friday for Woburn High School teams. The girls field team takes on Arlington at 3:30 p.m., the girls volleyball team takes to the road against Belmont at 4 p.m. and the football team hosts rival Winchester with a 7 p.m. kick off.

2. Movie Day: Friday is movie day at the Woburn Senior Center. The showing beings at 10 a.m. and is free of charge.

3. Mostly Sunny: According to the National Weather Service, temperatures will reach 68 degrees as the week comes to an end. Skies will be mostly sunny with a light breeze in the air.

4. Board of the Day: Woburn schools are invited to take part in a coat drive sponsored by Anton's Cleaners. The initiative kicks off on October 14.
