Middlesex Lions Club Participates in Anton's Cleaners "Coats for Kids"

On October 14, 2013, Anton’s Cleaners kicked off its 19th annual "Coats for Kids" winter coat drive which runs through January 11, 2014. TheWoburn Middlesex Lions Club is proud to be on board as Community Partners for the program.

The Woburn Middlesex Lions Club will be helping students to earn Y.E.S. hours and community volunteer hours by calling 781 935 5629 or emailingmchorlt312@comcast.net for pick up of 10 coats for 2 volunteer hours. This is a great way to promote community activity by helping others in time of need.

There are also boxes located at the Woburn Boys and Girls Club, Woburn Skating Rink, Woburn City Hall Rotunda and more locations to come.

Anton’s Cleaners "Coats for Kids" collection has one simple goal - to help individuals who otherwise wouldn’t be able to keep themselves and their families warm. "Coats for Kids" is New England’s largest coat drive, collecting over 856,000 coats since the program began.

According to Arthur C. Anton Jr., COO of Anton’s Cleaners, “'Coats for Kids" offers an incredible opportunity for local organizations get involved in an activity that benefits those in need. Anton’s Cleaners is always on the lookout for ways to collaborate with local businesses and hardworking nonprofit organizations and make winter a little warmer for children, teens and adults throughout Eastern Massachusetts and Southern New Hampshire.”

Last year’s drive collected 52,000 coats, with Anton’s donating over $10M in cleaning services since the program’s inception.
