Arthur F. Cushing Jr - Obituary

Arthur F. Cushing Jr. (Smokey), son of the late Helen Cushing (Morse), passed away on October 14, 2013 surrounded by his children and sisters. Raised in Woburn, he was the youngest of six. He leaves behind his sister Cheryle and her husband John Laffey of Tewksbury, Helen and her husband Tom McNeil of Loudon, Nh, Lee and her husband Jim of Georgia and Diane Lindsey of Woburn along with his late sister Donna Berry, also of Woburn. He was the devoted father of Arthur F. Cushing III, Charles V. Cushing and Lisa Marie Cushing.

Smokey had many things in life he loved. He very much enjoyed his work as a locksmith with Charles W. Benton, always reminding us that "If you love what you do, it's never work" he was also an avid fisherman and always supported his beloved New England Patriots but above all else, his family. He always made sure to remind us just how important family is and how special he felt his was. Throughout his life, there is no question that he was a dedicated brother, father, uncle and friend and for those that knew him, it is without a doubt that you shared a special bond.

Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend calling hours which will be held and Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home at 263 Main Street, Woburn on Friday October 18 from 4pm-8pm. Interment will be private.
