Christopher Patrick Richards, 39, Grew up in Woburn

Christopher Patrick Richards passed away unexpectedly in Springville, Utah on Saturday, May 10th. The beloved son of Glen and Karen (Smith) Richards, he was thirty-nine years of age.

Born in Woburn, he was raised in the Highlands section of the city and was educated in the Woburn Schools, graduating with the Class of 1993. Following high school he began working with his Dad at North East Manufacturing where he worked for a good number of years.

In his early thirties he was introduced to Barbara Demato by a family member. A relationship flourished and Chris began to be an intricate part of Barbara and her children’s lives. Several years ago they moved to Utah, where they have made their home, and Chris continued to work in machinery.

Chris was an avid outdoorsman. He loved the mountains, lakes, rivers, and streams. Going on a picnic with the family, spending weekends camping in the mountains, or riding his dirt bike, it was all good! Chris was a veracious reader always, fiction or non-fiction, with a very high interest in history books.

The favorite holiday for all of the Richards Family is July 4th. Chris so enjoyed helping to get the house into a celebratory mode. Flags, food, and fireworks, combined with family and friends, just lent itself to being a most enjoyable day for everyone.
