Here are five things that Woburn Patch is grateful for:

1) Public Safety

Woburn Police, Woburn Fire and the Department of Public Works do an amazing job in the city. Whether it's protecting us or helping us when we're in need, these guys are always here for us.

2) Schools

The Woburn Public Schools do a great job educating our kids day in and day out. Creative teachers, after-school programs and athletics are just a few of the things our schools give us. And the buildings are also used for voting, even though some would like to see that changed.

3) Our readers

Seriously, our readers are the best in all of Patchland. Our group of Facebook fans are supportive and always eager to lend a helping hand during a story. Our Twitter followers are downright amazing. We have gained a huge following of high school students and we couldn't be happier. You guys make us laugh all the time and are always there to tweet us.

4) Woburn Public Library

With its gorgeous architecture inside and out and its collections, the Woburn Public Library is a reader's dream. Stacks upon stacks of books for any avid reader, as well as old tomes and yearbooks for the amateur historian. Located in downtown Woburn, it's easily accessible for everyone.

5) Civic organizations

The city's wide breadth of civic organizations take care of us 24-7, no matter what the need. The Lions, Host Lions, high school Lions, SCI Woburn, the Sons of Italy, Italian-American Club, American Legion, Moose Lodge, Elks, the list goes on and on. You guys are all awesome and we are thankful for the work you do every day!
