Horn Pond Summer Concert Series Kicks Off Soon

Submitted by Social Capital Inc.:

The Concert Series Committee is proud to announce the lineup for the 2014 Horn Pond Summer Concert Series!

Thanks to local sponsors, McCue Garden Center, Michael de la Maza, Jump On In and Colonial Package Stores, Inc., this concert series is free to the residents of Woburn and surrounding towns.

The Horn Pond Summer Concert Series provides Woburnites a way to connect with their friends and neighbors, helping to strengthen their community – part of the mission of SCI, Social Capital Inc. This concert series has been enjoyed by residents, in and around Woburn, since 2003 and is organized by SCI, the North Suburban YMCA and WREN (Woburn Residents’ Environmental Network).

A special thank you goes out to the Woburn DPW for helping with concert logistics. These concerts are held from 6-8 p.m. on various Friday nights throughout the summer. They take place at Horn Pond, near the corner of Beacon Street and Sturgis Street, by the boat ramp.

On even the hottest nights of the summer, Horn Pond is the perfect venue to enjoy a breeze off the water, while listening to some great music and catching up with your friends and neighbors. For your comfort and enjoyment, please remember to bring folding chairs or a blanket. We have an exciting lineup of bands scheduled this year!

Kicking off the concert series on Friday, July 11 will be the Brian Maes Band, featuring Mary Beth Maes. This concert is generously sponsored by Jump On In.
