How Would You Rate Woburn's Plowing During This Week's Storm?

Is the town off to a good start this winter?

How would you rate the city's plowing?
How would you rate the city's plowing?

The storm on Thursday and Friday dumped around a foot of snow in Woburn, which meant there was plenty of the fluffy white stuff to clean up.

Now that this year's first snowstorm is in the books, it’s time for you to rate how the city's plows handled the two-day winter event.

Feel free to give praise or thanks, express frustrations or offer up constructive criticism in the comments section below.

The DPW did a great job. Living on a hill, the street was plow and sanded. A job well Done.

Awesome effort by all the City departments. The DPW did a great job, the Police, and Fire also. They go out at the right time and "Get It Done". You can hear on the scanner how well they all coordinate. Bravo!!

My street has been plowed for one way travel as usual so I had to shovel 6 feet out from my front door and then they have nerve to send a city plow on Saturday morning to plow nothing it's not like our street ever gets treated so you can actually see pavement,

i live right off of warren ave and Twin Landscaping does our street. the guy did a great job! street is right back to the curb. seems to me like all the streets off waren ave were all back to curb! keep it up guys! Keep up the good work Twin!

Not really happy. Last snow storm whomever plowed did a wonderful job, right to the curb This time, its just right down the middle, way away from the curb making it very hard to park and my neighbor had to do the rest with his snow plow, and we never see sanders or salters. Just because we are a small dead end street, does'nt mean we should'nt get the same treatment as bigger streets. Im talking about Winstead Avenue where I have lived for over 30 years

The plowing jobs on the streets that my families homes are on in the south end and east Woburn were done to perfection! Great job by the DPW and contractors!

My street(Wood) is NEVER plowed wide enough. The first sweep through sets the tone for the storm, and this just isn't close enough to the curb.

It should also be noted that you can submit complaints/concerns on the City of Woburn website. I've found them to be VERY responsive to any complaint/concern that I've had in the past.

My neighborhood was done very well. No complaints.

At least the ice and snow filled in the potholes...which is a good thing....folks should clear out fire hydrants near them...just remember it eventually melts, drive carefully folks !!

Great job by the city. My only complaint is I wish we didn't have to use so much salt. I don't mind sand. But the salt is all just washing into horn pond and surrounding watershed. I live on a flat dead end. Sand is plenty in my opinion. But great job on the plowing for sure.

Need to buy a better sidewalk plow. The sidewalks are aweful! Or you need to send the person who runs the plow to sidewalk plowing school
Just sayin'.... January 06, 2014 at 08:44 AM
I think Woburn looks pretty good compared to some of the other cities around us. I think we might be a little spoiled, and are Forgetting the amount of time those guys were out there. The stuff they use is environmentally safe to the best of my knowledge. Sand will help with traction but not melting. As far as the sidewalks, Heaven forbid you leave your cozy chair and shovel it yourself. In other cities they MAKE you shovel within 24 hours or you're fined. They don't teach you THAT in Keyboard Commando school?
