Injured Officer Richard Donohue Throws Out First Pitch at Fenway

The man who stared an alleged terrorist in the face in the Boston Marathon bombing aftermath was recognized by the Red Sox on Thursday.

During the aftermath of the Boston Marathon bombings, MBTA Transit Police Officer Richard Donahue did his hometown of Woburn proud as he heroically put his life in danger.

On Thursday, Donohue received recognition for his actions as he was warmly received by the fans at Fenway Park when he threw out the opening pitch before Thursday night's game versus the Baltimore Orioles.

According to the MBTA, Donohue was joined near the center of the diamond by MBTA General Manager Beverley Scott. Donohue's pitch was caught by Red Sox catcher David Ross.
