As 2013 comes to a close, we look at the most popular Woburn stories of the last year.

From politics to business stories, there were plenty of articles that most captured the attention of Woburn Patch readers this year.

Readers passionately debated the mayoral race between Scott Galvin and John Flaherty, while a Boston Globe article brought the spotlight on the race outside of Woburn as well. 

Another hot topic throughout the year was the pension package, which has not yet been agreed upon, for injured Woburn Police Officer Robert DeNapoli.

put the dirty politics aside the election is over, Time for Woburn to do the right thing and give Officer Denapoli his full pension, he was there for us when we needed him

Unfortunately, you can't put the dirty politics aside. That's how it is in Woburn. Every decision that is or has been made by the mayor is political.

Focus on Officer Denapoli and not the Mayor and his campaign and then the problem could be solved, Denapoli has nothing to do with the campaign or dirty politics so stop using it against him
