Woburn’s population increased by 2% between 2010 and 2013, according to new U.S. Census data that was released this week.

Woburn had 38,276 residents in 2010 and that number increased to 39,083 people in 2013.

The 2% figure is higher than the 1% median growth rate among Massachusetts communities that was reported by the Boston Business Journal, but well below the 10% population increase in Cohasset.
