Creator of New TV Program 'Amish Mafia' Hails from Woburn

Tonight is the debut of the former Woburnite's new 'reality TV' program that re-creates scenes from Amish life in Pennsylvania.

Producer Eric Evangelista, who grew up in Woburn, already has a relative hit on his hands with the TLC Network program Breaking Amish. And at 9 p.m. tonight, Evangelista launches a new Discovery Channel program called Amish Mafia.

Evangelista is founder and executive producer of a family-run production studio, Hot Snakes Media. He currently lives in southern Connecticut where he also works with his wife Shannon.

He attended St. Charles Elementary School, and graduated in 1989 from Arlington Catholic High School. Evangelista went on to receive a BA in broadcast journalism from Boston University. Eric also produced, and won an Emmy for, NECN's Sportsworld: with Mike Adams.
