The yet-to-be-named David O. Russell movie on the Abscam Scandal stars Christian Bale, Bradley Cooper, Jennifer Lawrence, Amy Adams, and Louis C.K.

Filming is set to begin at the Clapp School today.

The filming is for the new David O. Russell film. The yet-to-be-named movie on the Abscam Scandal stars Christian Bale, Bradley Cooper, Jennifer Lawrence, Amy Adams, and Louis C.K. though it is not clear which stars may be in Woburn for the filming.

This morning crews were at the school setting up equipment and getting things ready to begin filming.

Movie gawkers, however, were not allowed to hang around and watch. Woburn police cleared the sidewalks in front of the school to keep bystanders from being in any shots.

As of this morning we could mostly just see crews setting up equipment. There were also some vintage vehicles to help create the 1970s atmosphere of the movie.

The filming will continue through the morning at the school. There will also be filming in another part of the city, according to a release on the City of Woburn's web site:

Afternoon and evening hours - Filming on Arlington Road.

Traffic detours set up and no parking restrictions throughout the area of Arlington Road, and the low end of intersecting streets. Arlington Road from Lake Avenue will be detoured onto Main Street. There will be some interruption of pedestrian traffic. The production company will provide assistance in helping pedestrians in the area.
