The Horn Pond Summer Concert Series kicks off this Friday, June 29, with the popular Irish band, Revels’ Glen. The concert is from 7 to 9 p.m. at along the flat grassy area of Sturgis Street, otherwise known as Ice House Park. This concert is sponsored by who will be providing free steamed corn for the whole crowd.

Revels’ Glen creates traditional Irish folk music that makes you want to stand up and join in.

They performed over 200 pub shows and concerts across the United States and Europe in 2011, sharing the stage with such notable entertainers as Paddy Reilly, The Wolfe Tones and Black 47.  As a finalist in the SLBC Irish Battle of the Bands and with a nomination as Ireland’s Best Pub Band, Revels' Glen is known internationally for their professionalism and quality musical presentation.  The talents of Bill McElaney and Mike Hynes come together to create a foot stomping, hand clapping, good time that is not to be missed.

This is the tenth year that the Horn Pond Summer Concert Series will entertain Woburn residents. The concerts are a perfect way to spend summer nights with your fellow community members and enjoy the beautiful Horn Pond area.

Bring your family, friends, and lawn chairs to Ice House Park to enjoy free concerts on select Fridays throughout the summer. With generous support from local businesses, the Concert Series is free to the public. Unfortunately Joe, the Horn Pond Committee was told the city used up their funds for the goose poop clean up at Horn Pond Day and will not be able to clean it again for this summers concert series. They are hoping a few complaints to the mayors office will help get the city to reconsider their position.
