Schedule and Locations for Movie Filming in Woburn Today

We have updated information on the new David O. Russell film that is filming in Woburn today.

The yet-to-be-named David O. Russell movie on the Abscam Scandal stars Christian Bale, Bradley Cooper, Jennifer Lawrence, Amy Adams, and Louis C.K. though it is not clear which stars may be in Woburn for the filming.

According to the IMDB synopsis, the movie is about "The 1970s-set true story of a con artist and his partner in crime, who were forced to work with a federal agent to turn the tables on other cons, mobsters, and politicians - namely, the volatile mayor of impoverished Camden, New Jersey."

According to a post on the City of Woburn's web site, the filming will take place from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Morning hours - Back lot of Clapp School.

Expect minimal traffic disruptions, but there will be parking restrictions on all surrounding streets. Production Company is working with neighbors to limit inconvenience and make alternative plans. Woburn Police details, funded by the production company, will be present throughout the area to assist neighbors and citizens.

Morning hours - There will be a small film crew at the tennis courts at Library Place. Minimal interruption in the area.

Afternoon and evening hours - Filming on Arlington Road.

Traffic detours set up and no parking restrictions throughout the area of Arlington Road, and the low end of intersecting streets. Arlington Road from Lake Avenue will be detoured onto Main Street. There will be some interruption of pedestrian traffic. The production company will provide assistance in helping pedestrians in the area.
