With American Hustle Opening, Woburn Hits the Big Screen
The new David O. Russell movie filmed scenes in Woburn.
With the opening of American Hustle, Woburn has officially gone Hollywood.
The movie, which opened in theaters nationwide on Friday, will include several scenes that were shot earlier this year in Woburn.
American Hustle's cast includes a long list of stars, including Christian Bale, Bradley Cooper, Amy Adams and Jennifer Lawrence.
Set in the 1970s, American Hustle is centered around Bale's character, who along with Adams is forced to work for an FBI agent played by Cooper, according to IMDB.com.
Filming took place in April at the Clapp School and other areas of town. The scenes were set to the time period with antique cars, and all of the characters wore costumes authentic to the 1970s.
