The entertainment center and restaurant has filed a petition for zoning changes to Woburn City Council.

The restaurant and entertainment center Dave & Busters has filed paperwork indicating it is looking to come to Woburn.

According to minutes from the May 21 City Council meeting, provided by Town Clerk William Campbell, the Dallas-based business has filed a special permit in regards to the city's zoning ordinances for a location at 275 Mishawum Road. The location is a former site of an MBTA commuter rail station, the Boston Globe reported.

According to the petition, Dave & Busters is asking permission for special permits for three zoning allowances. First, the company is asking for permission to be allowed to meet the city's parking requirements with a second parking lot with 104 spaces. They are also asking the city allow for hours of operation consistent with the hours of operation approved by the Woburn License Commission 11 a.m. to 1 a.m. seven days per week. They are also asking to be allowed to have 200 coin operated, recreational, or entertainment machines.

A proposed Dave & Busters proposed for 79 Middlesex Turnpike in Burlington was denied by the Burlington Planning Board in June 2011. Reasons included the size of the building and a lack of rear access to the site. There were also concerns raised by residents of traffic and the possibility of underage drinking.
