Florist Chain Looks to Expand in the Area

1-800-FLOWERS has a fulfillment center in Woburn.

A national florist chain with a fulfillment center in Woburn is going to expand its retail locations in Greater Boston.

1-800-FLOWERS currently does not have many locations in Greater Boston. It only has one franchisee-owned location in Melrose and two fulfillment centers (Woburn and Needham), but will soon grow to as many as 11 more retail shops in Greater Boston, reported The Boston Globe.

“We’re very excited about the appetite and enthusiasm,” said James Franks, vice president of franchise development. “Boston is one of the top 10 markets in the country. We have a wealth of customers who know us here.”
