If You're Boycotting Market Basket, Where are You Shopping Now?

Many loyal shoppers are heading to other markets to do their food shopping while workers continue to fight to reinstate ousted CEO.

The push for Market Basket workers to have customers boycott the store - going as far as to post receipts from competitors on the front windows - has changed the shopping habits for many loyal Market Basket shoppers this week.

Workers want former CEO Arthur T. Demoulas reinstated and part of their effort is to ask shoppers to boycott Market Basket stores, in hopes of forcing the new management and board to bring back "Artie T."

Many shoppers are going along with the boycott, with parking lots much emptier than usual this week and checkout lines virtually nonexistent.

Deliveries from the Market Basket warehouses have also stopped this week and protests continue at many of the chain's 71 stores in Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Maine.

Other major chains and Market Basket competitors include Stop & Shop, Shaw's, Star Market, Roche Brothers, Big Y and Hannaford.

Where are you doing your shopping? Are you heading to another one of the large chains? Or are you visiting a local store? Tell us in the comments.
