What is going in to the former Bella's Cafe and, among other establishments, Bishop's Restaurant location?
According to new posters in the window, 502 Main Street will soon feature a restaurant featuring Broaster Chicken.
The Broaster Company is a restaurant supplier that provides equipment and recipes for restaurants. The company is based in Beloit, Wisconsin and first went into business in 1954.
Restaurants that carry Broaster Chicken are locally-owned and go by their own names. Locally, locations that carry Broaster Chicken include Katrina's in Roxbury and Sudbury Farms in Sudbury.
The name of the new Woburn restaurant has not been posted. Patch has learned that the new location is set to open in about a month and we will follow-up with more information closer to the grand opening.
According to Broaster Chicken's web site, the unique thing about the chicken at these locations is "Genuine Broaster Chicken begins with the finest quality chicken, carefully marinated and coated with specially formulated Broaster ingredients. Then, as each order is received, the chicken is placed inside the Broaster Company manufactured pressure fryer, designed to cook each individual piece of chicken "under pressure" in the chicken's own natural juices, limiting the absorption of cooking oil and driving the marinade deep down to the bone while searing the chicken with a golden, crispy-crunchy coating."
Stay tuned for further updates.
