Coach Line Limousine & Motor Coach names Rich McDaniel of Woburn as President; will work to expand the company’s airport, wedding and corporate services
WOBURN and MEDFORD, MA, ISSUED January 21, 2014… Coach Line Limousine & Motor Coach, a premier provider of transportation services for both the business and personal needs of its clients, has named Richard M. (Rich) McDaniel of Woburn as the company’s new President.
In his new role, he will work with Brian J. Connor, CEO of LifeLine Ambulance and founder/CEO of Coach Line Limousine, to assist in the company’s continued growth and outreach/marketing efforts. Coach Line is a recently-launched division of LifeLine Ambulance.
The limousine company, which serves a clientele in the metropolitan Boston and Boston proper, is known for its exceptional service and unique fleet of vehicles. Since Ford had stopped producing the traditional Executive Town Cars, Coach Line has just upgraded its entire Town Car fleet to the 2014 Chrysler 300’s and the 2014 Chevy Suburban’s. In addition, Coach Line is one of the only Limousine companies in Massachusetts to have a fleet of Rolls Royces and Bentleys for its wedding service.
McDaniel, a native of Arlington, MA, is the former founder & owner of the popular Medford Delicatessan, a restaurant and catering business. Prior to his partnership in the restaurant and catering business, he worked in retail construction.
McDaniel has been active in a number of local organizations including the Medford Rotary and Arlington Chamber of Commerce, and is a supporter of the national Boys & Girls Club of America. He and his wife, Gale, reside in Woburn. He said he expects to be a visible presence in the communities to further develop awareness of Coach Line Limousine.
McDaniel credits his mother, Betsy McDaniel, as a strong power of example for work ethic. “She worked very hard all her life and I learned a lot about hard work and taking pride in one’s work and how important it is,” he said. He added, “After leaving the restaurant industry, I came to meet Brian Connor, who is a great entrepreneur and person, and he offered me this outstanding opportunity.”
Brian Connor, founder of Coach Line, said, “This is an interesting opportunity for Rich and for us. Rich is a well-known and well-respected business person who is very passionate about his work. His people skills and unique understanding of customer service is a perfect match for Coach Line. The limousine and bus business is all about relationships and customer service. Rick has perfected both traits; that’s why he’s perfect for us. We decided to branch out into the limousine and bus transportation because it seemed as a natural addition to our overall business plan. We have a number of advantages already built in, experienced drivers, sophisticated infrastructure that includes a 24-7 dispatch center, and a team of people who understand the importance of meeting deadlines and putting our clients at ease.”
