Certification continues longstanding snom effort to interoperate with best-of-breed communications technology providers

Woburn, Mass. – (November 5, 2013)snom technology Inc., a leading developer of IP business phones, today announced that its 7xx series of SIP-based IP endpoints have been certified to work with IPsmarx’ multi-tenant IP-PBX platform and Class 5 Softswitch.

The certification gives IPsmarx customers (VoIP service providers) the ability to use snom’s popular 7xx series phones with its multi-tenant IP-PBX and Class 5 Softswitch, which includes integrated billing, call routing, email marketing and e-commerce functionality wrapped up in a single solution.

IPsmarx is unique in that it packages service applications, softswitch, billing, account management and marketing capabilities for VoIP-based telephony services in a single solution that supports direct and indirect sales channels. This integrated application server, softswitch and billing offers reliable, scalable delivery of VoIP business lines, SIP trunks and hosted IP-PBX services with low cost of ownership and faster time to market.

IPsmarx joined snom’s technology partner program in 2010 as part of a broader snom initiative to achieve interoperability with best-of-breed communications technology partners.  

snom’s 7xx series of phones include:

  • 710: suitable for small or large scale deployments, the 710 supports four SIP identities and has a rich set of everyday business telephony features. 
  • 720: the 720 comes with two Gigabit Ethernet ports, one for Power over Ethernet, and a USB connector to expand its functionality. It supports 12 SIP identities and is Bluetooth headset ready.
  • 760: the snom 760 has a 3.5-inch color display, PBX-style keys and a range of extra features to support business communication; busy lamp field, shared line appearance, redirection and others, depending on the PBX system used.

The 7xx series all come with snom’s proven feature-rich SIP firmware.
