Cummings Properties welcomes Chinese delegation

Shanghai group learns the ropes of U.S. business incubation

WOBURN, December 12, 2013 — On December 5, Cummings Properties hosted a delegation of commercial developers, venture capitalists, and government officials from China at TradeCenter 128 in Woburn. The 20-person group had traveled from Shanghai to learn about practices in “business incubation,” the nurturing of startups and small businesses. Additional stops on its U.S. visit included Boston, New York City, and Washington, D.C.

To provide a close-up look at a facility designed to support and foster entrepreneurship, Cummings Properties executive vice president Eric Anderson met with the delegation at Launch, a co-working space featuring shared desks, “idea walls,” and free WiFi in a wide-open office. He also led a tour of Cummings Executive Suites, which provides fully furnished offices and shared workplace amenities for small businesses.
