New Horizons at Choate residents celebrate the holidays

The New Horizons at Choate retirement community has been welcoming the season at its property on Warren Avenue. The former site of Choate Memorial Hospital was converted to independent and assisted living accommodations for seniors in 1990. The majority of the residents of the not-for-profit community hail from Woburn and Winchester. In its quest to serve the immediate local populace, New Horizons at Choate accepts applications for residency only from current or former residents of Woburn, Winchester, and Medford, or from prospective residents who have immediate family members in these communities.

Cummings Foundation developed and oversees both New Horizons at Choate and New Horizons at Marlborough. Established by Joyce and Bill Cummings in 1986, Cummings Foundation is based in Woburn and has awarded tens of millions of dollars in grants to nonprofit organizations in northeastern Massachusetts.
