Tower Office Park puts on its holiday finery

A holiday tradition continued at the I-93 and I-95 interchange, as Cummings Properties installed the great red bow on the façade of Tower Office Park. The symbol of the holiday season first made its appearance about 25 years ago, and has become a decoration anticipated by commuters and residents alike.

Weighing more than 150 pounds, the bow is made from one-inch steel tubing and red vinyl-coated canvas. It was placed over the weekend by a crew of four, using a 100-foot crane. This project can take the better part of a day, depending on the weather. To ensure proper placement that is uniform from year to year, the crew attaches the bow to a permanent anchoring system mounted to the sides of the building.

In 2009, Cummings Properties added to the festive look. Colored LED lights were installed at the top of the glass exterior elevator shaft, bringing a red-and-green glow to the highway junction side of the building.
