Walter Pierce Celebrates with Colleagues at Strega Prime Italian Steakhouse at

Walter Pierce, a 20-year member of Cummings Properties’ grounds crew, was feted at Strega Prime Italian Steakhouse on May 8, upon retirement from the Woburn commercial real estate firm.
Among the nine current and former colleagues Pierce invited to lunch were fellow Woburnites David Lundquist and Arthur Colucci, also retired from Cummings Properties. They had an animated conversation about clearing parking lots during many famous snowstorms and reminisced about the time they actually moved houses down Washington Street from what is now West Cummings Park to Marilyn Court.
Pierce, who has been known for years as a grading and excavation specialist, has taught a generation of summer workers their way around a construction site. Greg Ahearn, vice president of field operations and a long-time Woburn resident, said Pierce is a great team player.
“Whenever he walked on a job site, he was famous for saying, ‘you’ve got my back, I’ve got yours’,” Ahearn said.
