Today is Wednesday, May 29. Here are five things to know:

Looks like it could be a wet day today. According to the National Weather Service we have a 70 percent chance of showers and a chance of thunderstorms today. Some storms could produce small hail and gusty winds. High near 72 degrees. Chance of showers and thunderstorms tonight as well with a low around 61 degrees.

The Woburn Council on Aging Building Safety Committee is meeting at 10 a.m. in the Veteran's Memorial Senior Center. The Woburn Retirement Board is meeting at 8:30 a.m. in the Woburn City Hall, Engineers Conference Room. The Woburn School Committee is meeting at 7 p.m. in the Joyce Middle School Conference Room. The Woburn Board of Health is meeting at 4:30 p.m. in the Woburn City Hall, Board of Health Conference Room. The Woburn Housing Authority is meeting at 6:30 p.m. in the Nichols Street Community Room.

Little Hands Big Hearts Preschool is holding registration all day today for the 2014 school year. Little Hands Big Hearts is a nine-month, three-hour morning structured program which offers two, three, or five day programs.
