5T: Blood Drive, Fun Run and Live Music

Today is Tuesday, May 7. Here are five things to know:

1) Morning clouds, warm day

Looks like a slightly overcast but warm day today. According to the National Weather Service we can expect clouds through mid morning and then gradually clearing. High temperature near 74 degrees. Foggy late tonight. Otherwise mostly clear with a low around 50 degrees.

2) Public meetings

The Woburn City Council is meeting at 7 p.m. in the Woburn City Hall, Council Chamber. The Woburn Planning Board is meeting at 7 p.m. in the Woburn City Hall Engineers Conference Room. The Woburn Public Library Board of Trustees is meeting at 5:30 p.m. in the Woburn Public Library Basement Conference Room. The Woburn School Committee is meeting at 7 p.m. in the Joyce Middle School Conference Room.

3) Event Spotlight:

 Woburn native Greg Chalpin will be performing at the Sea Dog tonight at 6 p.m. Stop by and check out his music. We've heard him perform and think he's great!

4) Fun run

The Boston Sports Club is holding its weekly 5K run with registration at 5:30 p.m. and the running starts at 6:30 p.m. The run begins and ends at On the Border. Click here for more information.   

5) Blood drive

The American Red Cross is holding a blood drive from 1:30 to 7 p.m. today at the Burlington American Legion, 162 Winn St. Do your part and donate today and give the gift of life.
