Five things to know today.

Today is Thursday, Feb. 28. Here are five things to know:

1) Rain Rain, go Away

Looks like another messy day today. According to the National Weather Service we can expect rain and snow showers this morning which will become all rain after 8 a.m. with patchy fog. Otherwise it will be cloudy with a high near 48 degrees. Rain expected tonight before 10 p.m. followed by a 70 percent chance of snow. Precipitation of a tenth to a quarter of an inch possible. Overnight low around 33 degrees.

2) Public meetings

The Woburn Board of Health is meeting at 4:30 p.m. in the Woburn City Hall, Board of Health Conference Room. The Woburn Housing Authority is meeting at 6:30 p.m. in the One Library Place, Community Room.

 

3) Fundraiser lunch

Brightview Country Club Heights is hosting a special fundraising luncheon to benefit the American Heart Association's "Go Red for Women" Campaign. There will be a special presentation by Meg Murphy, Nutritionist from Whole Foods to discuss "Easting and Cooking Heart Healthy." $10 Minimum Suggested Donation to the American Heart Association. 4) Thinking Cap? Check!

 Tanner Tavern's Thursday Night Trivia will start at 8 p.m. tonight. Head over to Main Street for Stump Trivia and you and your team (or just you!) can compete for prizes.

 

5) Ladies Night Out

Scoreboard Sports Bar & Grill is holding a Ladies Night Out from 7 p.m. to midnight tonight. Buy one entree get the second free for all ladies.  Free chocolate covered strawberries and free chair messages by Elements.  Live bands, door prizes and much more.
