Parents, take note! Today is a half-day for students at Woburn public schools. High School will be dismissed at 11:30 a.m., middle schools at 12 noon, and elementary schools at 12:30 p.m.

2) Paint and eat!

The Brickyard restaurant will host a night of painting, music and eating tonight. The fun begins at 7:30 p.m. tonight. Click here for information on how to purchase tickets. All you need to do is bring yourself, all the paints and materials will be provided. No experience required! 

 

3) Warm weather sticks around

According to the National Weather Service's pinpointed forecast for Woburn, yesterday's beautiful day will stick with us. Temperatures are expected to be in the 50s, but we may have some clouds and wind in the afternoon. Rain is likely overnight.

 

4) In case you missed it

  • 1909—Strong Candidates in Woburn—Race between former mayor Hugh D. Murray and Harry W. Clark. 
  • 1924—Mass. Motor Coach Collides with Truck at Corner in Woburn—19 people are injured, including the driver, after a crash at Lexington Street and Cambridge Road. The bus was going from Lowell to Boston.
  • 1935—Woburn Man Breaks Leg Hunting at Otis—Man reportedly hopped on one leg until meeting up with a doctor.
