5T: Intro to Mixed Martial Arts and Greco Roman Wrestling Class

Today is Thursday, May 9. Here are five things to know:

1) Rain and T-storms

Looks like a wet day today. According to the National Weather Service we can expect a chance of showers before noon and then a chance of showers and thunderstorms for the rest of the afternoon. Otherwise cloudy skies with a high near 69 degrees. Showers likely and thunderstorms possible after midnight tonight. Otherwise cloudy with a low around 49.

2) Public meetings

The Goodyear Elementary School Council is meeting at 5:30 p.m. in the Goodyear Elementary School Library. The Northeast Metropolitan Regional Vocational School is meeting at 7 p.m. in the Northeast Metropolitan Regional Vocational School District Library. The Woburn Conservation Commission is meeting at 7 p.m. in the City Council Chamber - middle level of City Hall.

3) MMA and Wresting

is offering introductory classes in mixed martial arts and Greco Roman Wresting starting this week for children aged 5 to 13. The price is $15 for four classes. Click here for more information.

4) Thinking Cap? Check!

 Tanner Tavern's Thursday Night Trivia will start at 8 p.m. tonight. Head over to Main Street for Stump Trivia and you and your team (or just you!) can compete for prizes.

5) Tapas

Do you like your food in miniature? Who doesn't! Head on over to Masa Southwest Bar and Grill in the Horn Pond Plaza. They have 50-cent tapas all night on Thursdays!
