2) On Demand—Woburn style!

You know what On Demand is on your local cable system, but do you know that the Woburn Public Media Center also offers On Demand? And to make it even cooler than your cable company, the WPMC offers its On Demand videos online, meaning you can watch it on your computer any time of the day. 3) Autumn Changes

According to the National Weather Service's specialized forecast just for Woburn, it won't be as warm and sunny as Saturday, but we should have a pretty darn nice Monday. Expect temperatures to be in the mid-60s and sunshine most of the day. Some clouds will move in after dark, though.

5) Headlines in history

Let's take a walk through Woburn's history, shall we? Some headlines in newspapers regarding Oct. 22 events in Woburn were:

  • 1897—Gave Firemen Hard Fight—Fire begins in wooden building, damaging Curtis block at Woodbury's corner. 
  • 1938—Woburn Factory Flames Incediary—17 fire boxes are put out of commission in the response.
  • 1960—Foley's Passes Lead Woburn Over Winthrop—Quarterback Eddie Foley leads Tanners to a 24-8 win. 
  • 1978—Dog Shows—An AKC-sanctioned show held at the YMCA and sponsored by the Merrimack Lhasa Apso Club.
