Here are five things you need to know today in Woburn:

It looks like we're in for a cold day today. According to the National Weather Service we can expect mostly sunny skies with a high near 18 degrees. Wind chill values could get as low as -12. Partly cloudy tonight with a low around 2 with wind chill values near -13.

2) What's cooking Wednesday

Whole Foods Markets is holding a "What's Cooking Wednesday" event starting at 5 p.m. today. Cruise the aisles and check out food and cooking demonstrations in each department and taste free samples.

 

3) Stamp prices

 Reminder that the United States Post Office stamp prices will increase one cent, from 45 cents to 46 cents, to mail one-ounce letters, effective Sunday, Jan. 27.

 

4) Hammond Square Preschool registration


Registration has begun for the 2013-2014 school year. If you are looking for a preschool experience for your child, come and tour the school, meet the staff and pick-up a registration packet. Hammond Square Preschool offers both a half-day program and a full-day program. They are located at 533 Main Street, Woburn. They fill on a first-come, first-serve basis.
