5T: Relay for Life Seeks Volunteers, Corn Maze Opens

Quite a few interesting Woburn Headlines in History in today's 5T column!


Here are five things you need to know today in Woburn:


1) Event Spotlight

It's October, which means fall is just getting into full swing. And to help us celebrate the awesomeness of fall is the McCue's Garden Center on Cambridge Road. The beloved corn maze has been set up and will be open to the public during the entire month of October. 


2) Relay for Life

The Woburn Relay for Life Committee is ready to start planning on next year's event. The group will meet tonight at 6:30 p.m. in the police station meeting room. The group is looking for new volunteers and helpers, residents are encouraged to attend. 


3) Rain coats for the kids!

According to the National Weather Service, the little ones are going to need their rain coats again today. The NWS is expecting Woburn to have rain showers in the morning and clouds all day. The temperature will rise into the low 70s. Things look like they'll begin to clear up on Tuesday.

  • 1960—Third Man To Face Court In Saugus Murder Probe—Norman A. Porter, 20, of Woburn was arraigned on first degree murder charge.
