5T: Support the The Jimmy V Fund and Enjoy a Beer

Today is Monday, April 1. Here are five things to know:

1) Chance of showers and T-storms

Looks like it could be a wet day today, but not necessarily so. According to the National Weather Service we have a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 3 p.m. Otherwise cloudy with a high near 58 degrees. Chance of showers tonight with otherwise cloudy skies and a low around 26 degrees.

2) Public meetings

The Woburn Council on Aging is meeting at 10 a.m. in the Woburn Veteran's Memorial Senior Center. The Woburn Council on Aging Transportation Committee Woburn Veteran's Memorial Senior Center.

3) Jimmy V Fund fundraiser

The Scoreboard Sports Bar & Grill has partnered up with Cornona to raise money for The Jimmy V Fund.  All of the Scoreboard staff are selling paper basketballs to be hung up around the restaurant.  The Jimmy V Fund is for cancer research. They will be selling the basketballs till the end of March Madness.

4) Preschool registration open

The Hammond Square Preschool at 533 Main St. is currently accepting registrations for its 2013-14 school year. Click here for more information.
