5T: Teddy Bear Picnic at the Woburn Public Library

Five things to know today.

Today is Thursday, June 6. Here are five things to know:

1) Partly sunny

 Looks like another comfortable day today. According to the National Weather Service we can expect partly sunny skies with a high near 74 degrees. Showers likely tonight with a low around 53. Windy as well with gusts as high as 22 miles per hour.

2) Public meetings

The Woburn Recreation Commission is meeting at 7 p.m. in the Woburn City Hall, Engineers Conference Room. The Woburn Sign Review Board is meeting at 8 p.m. in the Woburn City Hall, Engineers Conference Room.

 

3) Teddy Bear picnic

The Woburn Public Library is holding a Teddy Bear picnic at 11 a.m. today. Performer James Lepler will be on hand to entertain with sing-along songs, and the library’s Giant Teddy Bear will be on hand to hug kids and pose for pictures, so cameras are welcome.The program is held outside on the library lawn.

 

4) Ladies Night Out

Scoreboard Sports Bar & Grill is holding a Ladies Night Out from 7 p.m. to midnight tonight. Buy one entree get the second free for all ladies.  Free chocolate covered strawberries and free chair messages by Elements.  Live bands, door prizes and much more.

 

5) Tapas

Do you like your food in miniature? Who doesn't! Head on over to Masa Southwest Bar and Grill in the Horn Pond Plaza. They have 50-cent tapas all night on Thursdays!
