5T: Volunteers Needed, Public Meetings and Baby Boot Camp

Five things to know today.

Today is Monday, Feb. 25. Here are five things to know:

1) Partly sunny

Looks like we'll see the sun today. According to the National Weather Service we can expect partly sunny skies with a high near 40 degrees. Mostly clear tonight with a low around 23.

2) Public meetings

Woburn City Council Committees are meeting at 6 p.m. in the Woburn City Hall, Committee Room. The Woburn Council on Aging is meeting at 10:30 a.m. in the Veteran's Memorial Senior Center. The Woburn School Committee Personnel Subcommittee is meeting at 4:30 p.m. in the Joyce Middle School Conference Room.

 

3) Preschool registration

Little Hands Big Hearts Preschool is holding registration all day today for the 2014 school year. Little Hands Big Hearts is a nine-month, three-hour morning structured program which offers two, three, or five day programs.

 

4) Volunteers needed

Woburn Meals on Wheels urgently needs volunteer drivers to deliver meals to senior citizens. Do you have an hour a week or as little as two hours per month to lend a hand? Click here to find out how to get involved.

 

5) Baby boot camp

The Winchester Recreation Department, 263 Main St., Winchester, is holding a Baby Boot Camp for Winchester and Woburn mothers at 9:30 a.m. this morning. Baby Boot Camp is an innovative stroller-fitness program that helps moms regain or enhance pre-pregnancy fitness levels and meet the physical challenges of parenting by emphasizing strength training in a supportive environment.
